Frost Level 2…..What a beautiful morning and promising start to the day.  No wind, a keen crew and nigh on perfect tide.  All the usual suspects with a nice Cod of 15lb to Nigel one around 10lb for Mark and one dropped to Matt – he made up for it with a stunning Pollock, one of the fattest, best conditioned examples I’ve seen. 

The Whiting were really on the munch with Rosie and Matt both catching 3lb+ fish Matt’s getting on for 4lb (check out the pics) and a whole load of other fine ones in the box. 

Had my first visit from the SS Fisheries Patrol today – well there’s not a meal on an undersized Whiting so we weren’t hiding any of those.  Fair play to them for being out there and I have no problem with assisting them in any way.  It’s not theirs or the Commercial boys fault the whole CFP and quota / discard system is a joke.
